This charming illustration is from the back of the restaurants drinks list, dated 1942. It shows the two locations separated by the East river and reachable by the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brass Rail covered an entire city block in Manhattan and spanned five floors. There was a restaurant where huge sides of meat were roasted on open fires, a caf with a full
